Hello!

As the great Octavia Butler taught me, “all that you touch you change, all that you change, changes you”

So let me tell you a little about myself

Here are some random things about me. Feel free to ask me about any of them!

I am an enneagram 2, a manifestor in human design, most of my astro chart is in libra, I’m a Pisces Rising, I’m an INFJ in Myers Briggs and My top 5 Clifton Strengths are Connectedness, Input, Intellection, Empathy, and Ideation.

I am someone who has always wanted to make a difference and sees the world a little differently than the person next to me. I believe that actions are more important than intentions and try my best to live accordingly. My #1 value is self-expression. I believe that we all deserve to feel loved and valued for the unique human that we are.

One of my superpowers is reframing a problem or situation to bring in possibility. Do you want to make the impossible possible? Because we can together.

So let me tell you about some things that I have done searching for that ‘something different’: I’ve been trying to follow all the rules for all of my life, y’all. I’m a middle class white woman who went to grad school because that is what I was going to do - no thought to why or really what I would do after (other than an unconscious thought of being a professor). And then I learned I wanted to make a difference, so I went to grad school. Again. I’ve spent the last over 10 years  trying to understand systems and people so that kids and students will be prepared to get a job and feel fulfilled in their lives.

I’m passionate about talking about how the systems that we live in, often the “common sense” that we wade through, is ONE way of thinking of and living in the world. The awesome and exciting thing is that we get to notice and navigate which systems we spend more time with. I think it is unrealistic to think that we can escape things like capitalism, patriarchy, and white supremacy culture. AND I believe that acknowledging them and noticing where they show up takes away some of their power over our lives and gives us an opportunity to create the world that we want to live in.

That’s why context matters, I can be the best version of myself AND still come up against challenges with how I navigate the world that aren’t in alignment with where I want to go. It’s that Holy Both-And. How do we be in the system, and make the system work for us, so it doesn’t feel like such a tiresome endeavor.

So here’s what I believe now — the rulebook is rigged. And the damn thing changes. All.The.Time. And it’s exhausting! I’ve learned that I have to create my rulebook. And that’s what I’ve done, over and over. And over.

And that’s what I want to do with you!
